The macadamia nut is considered to be one of the finest and most luxurious nuts. It belongs to the Proteaceae family and are the fruit of the evergreen macadamia tree.  Macadamia trees require a subtropical climate, well-drained soils, and adequate rainfall in order to thrive.

The processing of macadamia nuts involves hand-picking, dehusking, drying in in-shed systems, cracking, sorting, grading, and packaging.
Macadamia Nuts are grown in various regions, each with its unique flavors and qualities due to variations in climate and soil.

From Australia, South Africa (Currently the largest producer of macadamia nuts), Hawaii, Kenya (another major producer, contributing significantly to the global supply) Latin America, the United States and China, although China imports a significant amount of macadamia nuts, it also has its own domestic production.  The global macadamia nut market size was valued at USD 1.31 billion in 2020 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.7% from 2021 to 2028.

In recent years, there has been a steady growth in demand for alternative sources of protein and healthy snacks that are plant based. With the increasing decline in popularity of animal milk, nut milk has also soared in demand and Macadamia Nut Milk gives a smooth, even texture to hot drinks and confectionery.
